As local film makers we believe we have a responsibility to the telling of local stories through the medium of documentary film making.
We live in a part of New Zealand that is both rich in history and diverse and vibrant in culture. We also believe there are many powerful stories that need to be told.
As a community we can all benefit greatly from these often inspirational stories of ordinary or extraordinary New Zealand men and women. Whether stories from the earliest years of European settlement or more contemporary stories of kiwi's making a stand against injustice or giving extraordinary service to the community.
These stories can help us to understand who we are as community in this region. They have the potential to remind us of what is important in life, of friendship and family motivating us into action.
